Most collie owners are completely thrilled to have a dog that just knows basic obedience, but other collie owners are attracted towards the show ring, agility, rally, obedience, care work in hospitals, and more!  What your collie can do is constrained only by the time, patience, and training that you provide! 

The AKC version of a collie is not the same as the collie that you know as Lassie.  The dogs that play Lassie are bred to be bigger than the AKC standard.  The AKC Collie breed is smaller and lighter by 10 to 15 pounds, and the standard for markings is different as well.

We need our puppies to get comfortable within their crates.  We do not would like them to feel surrounded and unwanted when we crate them while we’re employed.  To stop mistakes during Doberman training, let us follow these simple do’s and don’ts while we are at it. 

Do’s During Crate Training

1.  Start as quickly as possible

2.  Measure the size in an appropriate way.

3.  Use simple commands while training. 

You could either use “To your crate” or “In your house” when you crate educate them.  Later, they will associate the phrase with getting within their crate and they will make a response to the command. 

4.  Put rags and toys. 

Make the crate snug.  Place some blankets or clean rags for your baby dog to lie on.  Provide gnaw toys or ball for your little puppy to play while he is inside.

2.  Don’t offer food and water. 

The bias is when you place food and water, you don’t take them out after but rather you just refill it.  Food and water are good medium for bacterial growth and sicknesses.  Apart from that, if you place food inside and leave them, dogs sometimes poop mins after they eat.  If they cannot hold their bowel anymore, they might soil their dog house crates. 

3.  Do not leave your dogs within for dull hours. 

Leaving them inside their crates most hour of the day would make them feel cut off and forsaken.  If you’re working and wishes to keep the dog inside for at least 8 hours, organize somebody to provide your dog food, water and potty break.

“Stay”

Here, you will doubtless need another person to hold the puppy while you command.  First is to tell your dog the “sit” command.  After he is seated, let him know “stay” and the second person will hold the baby dog while you walk 10 steps away from you.  You might raise your hand while you are saying the command in order for him to link the hand gesture as “stay” command.  Repeat the method until the dog obeys but limit it to five times each day for your Doberman to put up with it. 

“Come”

To get your Doberman to go get an object, known as a “dumbbell,” and hold it until you give the command to “give” it back, say “take it ” and then gently open his mouth and put the object just behind his fangs say “hold”.  Now hold his gob closed and say “hold” again. 

Next, have him sit by your side and say “take it.” Then, after you throw the object 5-10′ away, when he’s walking toward you say “hold.” When he gets to you push on his rear and make him sit right in front of you.  What will happen with repetition is when you assert “take it” he’ll run out grab the object bring it back to you and sit directly in front of you holding the object until you give the command “give.” you now have learned a little , though not all, about Doberman pinscher training.

Tell your dog to stay repeatedly as you back away. Start out by keeping eye contact with the dog. If the dog gets up, tell it “no” and start again.

Remember this dog training takes a while. You may need someone to sit with the dog to help reinforce the dog to stay the first few times.

Once you have made progress with this dog training, you then start by walking away with your back turned. At this point, dogs will often get up and follow you. Tell your dog “no” and start the dog training again by repeatedly telling your dog to stay as you walk away.

Once your dog has mastered this part, you can teach it to come. After your dog has stayed, tell it to “come.” Have a happy voice and pat your knee as you say “come.” Your dog should respond to this dog training right away and you may then reward it.

Instead of punishment, it is better to use praise in dog training. Dogs respond best to positive dog training, rather than negative. With all of this in mind, you should be able to teach your dog the 3 basis commands.
